From the moment the guests enter the Pearl Suite on the Golden Peninsula they are carried into an ethereal space of inimitable glamour and meticulous craftsmanship. An homage to the precious pearls of northern Emirate, hosting a display of antique maps, navigational tools and equipment along with a selection of some of the most thought after pearls and collections ever to be seen.

During this part, the buyers will be meeting with the suppliers from the host delegation in pre–scheduled 1 on 1 meetings , which will take place inside the venue and its terrace. Suppliers will have their allocated table that is numbered and includes their respective branding for the duration of the meeting sessions, which will rotate every 12 minutes.

While Canapes and refreshments are passed around in the suite, guests are guided by their host, Al Suwaidi through the exhibits in interactive demonstration of pearl fishing expeditions, the traditional preparation process and the divers routines. This showcase is further brought to live by the adventurous tales spanning thousands of years, featuring kings and queens, depicting the lifestyle of Arabian Pearls Divers.

After the meal it is time for the buyers and suppliers to set sail on a the traditional Arabian pearls diving boat “Sma’a” from the Marsa Al Arab Marina. A nearby pontoon as an ideal stop to learn about the natural formation of oysters and pearls. At sea, the moment of suspense comes when the oyster is opened live for everyone to see as a real pearl might be hatched. Further onboard, the host will proceed to open a traders’ box various lustrous collections of Arabian Pearls in different, shapes, sizes and colors to demonstrate the grading system. As guests return the shore and to the here and now of present times, they will each be given a personalized pearl bracelet to take away as a memory of this mesmerizing expedition.
